Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have pcod and advised yamini tab from the 5th day of period..now i started on 31st august and was having everyday at night..but somehow i missed one pill on 9th sept night..but continued to take one pill again as usual on 10th sept evening. my question is whether i will take 2pills today 11th sept at night?and will it hamper my period this month?
When a pill is ever missed, you should take 2 pills the next day, and in your case as you forgot the day before yesterday then I would say there is no need to take the extra pill now but you can continue to do so without any real harm or issues. But for future reference: you miss taking a pill 1 day, take 2 pills the other day, but if you miss taking pills for 2 days, discontinue the whole pack and speak to your doctor about starting a new one (and of course use an alternate method of birth control in the mean time).
Best wishes.
