Suggest Treatment For PCOS And Yellowish Pigmentation Near The Clitoral Area

I am 23 years old. I have PCOS but have been noticing some things down there that seem not related to that issue. It started off as a yellowish region near the clitoral area. Then a yellow bump followed which has been for a few weeks and today a pure white bump. I ve tried monistat on the inner labia where it is. I ve also bathed in diluted apple cider vinegar. There is an odor present. My Aunt has precancerous cervical and vulva cells so this is a major concern for me. The bumps do not hurt or itch. Having some pain with intercourse.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

For treatment of PCOS, you should get examined by a gynecologist get a pelvic examination, Blood test & USG done. You will be treated with medications (progestin therapy, birth control, etc) or lifestyle changes (be active, maintain a healthy weight, reduce carbohydrate intake) depending upon the severity of the illness detected.

Yellowish or white pigmentation or spots in the clitoris are commonly indicative of yeast infection. Pain/ burning sensation associated during intercourse, is indicative of sexually transmitted infections (STD). Get all STD tests done. You may need antibiotics & antivirals. Stay away from sex & addictions if any.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
