Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m 19 years old and I have a bad case of PCOS. My husband works for the federal government and we are more than financially stable. We have a doctors appointment tomorrow (we ve been trying to get pregnant for over a year with no luck) and I m afraid he will not help us reach the goal of pregnancy just because I m so young. Can they do that? I am probably just over-thinking things like I usually do, but I will be crushed if they won t help us.
PCOS if treated has a good outcome for pregnancy. That means that just with the treatment of PCOS, you will have a very good chance of getting pregnant even without any other special treatment for infertility. And being your age of 19 is not any contraindication to being pregnant. Your doctor will help you with the PCOS and if needed will also help you with the infertility problem. Be at ease and relax. Take care. Happy to help.
