Polycystic ovarian syndrome usually presents with reproductive hormonal imbalance and insulin resistance leading to irregular menstrual cycles, anovulation and sometimes infertility. So, the treatment should be aimed according to the causative factors. According to your history, your gynecologist might have given you hormonal pills for first six months to correct the reproductive hormonal imbalance. Then Humog injection for the development of ovarian follicles.
Possibly there may not be adequate development of ovarian follicles or the ovulation even after increasing the dose of the injection. So, your doctor might have recommended laparoscopic drilling for polycystic ovaries, which is the surgical treatment option for PCOS. Please discuss these things with your gynecologist and proceed according to her advice.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
