Suggest Treatment For POTS Syndrome

My 20 yr old daughter developed POTS syndrome shortly after receiving the Gardisal vaccine, and has 39 various symptoms since 2012. Is there a test to see if the vaccine/ingredients are still in her body, and if so, what kind of test/detox program is available so that she s not chronically ill anymore. She sees a cardiologist, GI, neurologist and internist on a regular basis, but the stress of college life is too much for her body. She s 4 11 and weighs 85 lbs. any suggestions is greatly welcome

Hi,

Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) is a complex condition that requires a comprehensive approach to treatment. There is no specific test to detect if the vaccine or its ingredients are still in the body, but it is important to discuss with her healthcare providers if they suspect a vaccine-related trigger for her symptoms.

The management of POTS involves a combination of lifestyle modifications, medications, and other therapies to address the underlying cause of the condition. Some of the treatment options for POTS include:
* Salt and water intake: Increasing salt and water intake can help in expanding blood volume and preventing hypovolemia.
* Exercise and physical therapy: A supervised exercise program can help improve blood flow and increase muscle strength. Physical therapy can help in building endurance and improve joint flexibility.
* Medications: Several medications are used to manage POTS, including beta-blockers, fludrocortisone, midodrine, and others. These medications help in regulating the autonomic nervous system and blood pressure.
* Compression stockings: Wearing compression stockings can help in preventing blood from pooling in the legs and increase blood flow back to the heart.
* Other therapies: Other therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, yoga, and acupuncture may help reduce stress and manage symptoms.

Your daughter needs to work closely with her healthcare providers to develop an individualized treatment plan that addresses her specific needs and symptoms. Additionally, a registered dietitian can help her with nutrition guidance to ensure she is getting adequate nutrients to support her health.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
