General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

If after cardioversion, there is no satisfactory recovery for the rate control, ideal approach consists of detailed electrophysiologic study of the heart function. The further management may be consisting of pacemaker, heart transplant or others as per the expertise choice. However, thorough drug trial with various group of anti arrhythmic medications is recommended before considering alternate options.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
