Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am an RN. I have a 90 year old female resident that has a prolapsed rectocele but is not a candidate for any sugery. It is causing her pain. I came in and pushed the rectocele back and she got quite a relief. I am suggesting that this patient gets PRN suppository to prevent constipation or impaction. She is already on routine oral laxatives. She hurts when the rectocele is out and feelslike she has fecal matter that she needs to push out because of the rectocele. Is it safe to push the rectocele back in?
