Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve been suffering with horrible headaches for a very long time... 30 years or more... It never goes away... Always there.. I know the main problem is TMJ... My jaws and bite have been an issue.. I had braces and TMJ surgery to try to help but nothing has.. A few years ago I had another situation that started.. When I m trying to go to sleep(I say trying because sleep never just happens to me... That s a whole other story.... I just don t sleep). At any rate... Trying to go to sleep or even just waking up if I go to sleep there is this pop in my head... Painful... Like someone had a rubber band around my head and snapped it... No one seems to know what I m talking about... I have questioned my primary doctor and my ear doctor... They must think I m crazy because neither bothered to try to help me find out... This is not a TMJ sound of jaw popping... I know what that is... This has gotten better over the years but still happens and is still painful... Any ideas!!??
There is a possibility that you are having severe anxiety and teeth grinding habit that is causing the symptoms pf popping and stiffness along with difficulty in sleeping..
So first of all you should start relaxing yourself by doing meditation and yoga.. It can be followed by not resting during the day time as it can reduce the sleeping time at night..
You should also consult a Psychologist if you have anxiety and appropriate management can be done..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
