i am 38 years old female with fatigue chronic pain and migraines. I have elevated IGE and Collagen 2,and elevated sedimentation rate. my rheumatic doctor says he has no idea what is wrong with me. I went to university of michigan. iim desperate to feel better. i was diagnosed with weber christian basically i have nodules in my skin that are sore and bulge out mostly in my arms since i was little but i have them all over like braided rope especially under my breasts. can you please help? any direction is helpful. im on steroids and usually methotrexate. diagnosed as auto immune
Let me tell you that Weber-Christian disease is characterized by periodic attacks of crops of painful and tender subcutaneous fatty nodules associated with fever and it is also a fact that cause of the disease is unknown.
While there is no effective treatment for Weber-Christian disease, it responds well to prednisolone and cyclosporin-A.
An added oxyphenbutazone will also help reduce the pain and inflammation.
