Suggest Treatment For A Bump Caused After Exercising
My 18 year old son plays American football. He runs and lifts regularly. Last week he ran intervals on a treadmill. Yesterday was first day of practice, while running, a small and almost unnoticed bump arose on his left shin. It is sore to touch and and when he runs. They have not yet started contact. Should I be concerned
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns. The bump on you sons leg is from a bruise. This is very common and is nothing to be concerned about. When he starts contact then he might be better protected with shin guards. The bruise may take 2-4 weeks to completely heal but should not interfere with his practice
