Suggest Treatment For A Bump In The Vaginal Area

Hi I am an almost 19 years old about 145 lbs, generally healthy adult. Today while swimming I noticed a rather disturbing red bump on my pantie line where my right leg creases in my vaginal area. I saw that there was a small hair growing out of it and thinking that it was an ingrown hair possible caused by shaving yesterday, I pulled it out. However the bumb didn t change. I proceeded to squeeze it and blood squirted out kind of like a large zit. Although the bumb decreased in size by about half, it is still there and noticeable. I nor my monogamous partner have any known sexual diseases or infections. Should I get it checked out by a physician? Any clue what could have caused it? Could it be just a skin irritation?

Hello
I had gone through your question very diligently and I appreciate your concern
Looking at your description, appearance of bump following shaving might be related to local injury or inflammation due to shaving

You need not to worry as it has started decreasing in size as well so you should wait for 2 or 3 days to subside on its own

If it doesn't subside than you should see a doctor for physical examination and a course of antibiotics under supervision.

Meanwhile you should was it with antiseptic solution or soap and keep it clean
You can apply antibacterial or antiseptic ointment to prevent further infection.

Please do let me know if you want to discuss further I will be happy to help you
Best wishes
