Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I found a dark round spot on my left foot located on my inner heal about a month ago. Since my feet peeled slightly and so have my hands. I workout daily and sweat a lot but my concern is the dark round mole/spot that appeared randomly. The spot is no bigger than your average size mole would be about 1-3 mm in size. It doesn t hurt, burn, or cause discomfort in any way but again I ve never seen it before and my hands have never pealed so much. My whole palm from the bottom to my calluses from lifting is pealing
Based on the history you have shared, though it doesn't seem to be much dangerous however a dermatologist opinion to look for any pre malignant melanoma or any neoplastic growth should be ruled out.
If it's not the case then the location of this mole may not need any surgical or Medical management.
The peeling should also be reviewed as epidermal peeling may be normal however if scaly lesion is present or skin is getting peeled then supplements for zinc, vitamin C and E may be used alongwith local emollients.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
