Suggest Treatment For A Dog Bite

My maid s son was bitten badly by a dog who was taken by muncipality after many attacks. The boy was given immunioglobin and equirab and another abhayrab on the second day at govt hosp. The second dose due today. But she s unable to give the injection coz its Sunday and docs were not available at the hospital, private clinics r closed too. Can d dose be differed by a day?

Hello,

Along with the immunoglobulins and vaccine you can also give tetanus toxoid if he is not previously immunized and a short course of antibiotics to prevent local infection.

Please complete the course of the vaccine as per the schedule and request to test for rabies of that dog.
