Suggest Treatment For A Flat Bump On The Thigh

On my left thigh above knee (maybe Vastus medialis muscle??) I have a flat type bump about size of quarter to half dollar. No pain involved. Noticed it late March. Seeing Dr. In 10 days. I m also feeling a smaller one on right leg same place, but much-much smaller. I m very worried. I took a bad fall a year and half ago. Knees still sore at times. I m 67. Any help you can offer would be wonderful. Thank you so much. I m so worried.

Hi,

In most cases, this is just a swollen lymph node which doesn't require any specific treatment.

Also, considering your description this maybe some other benign subcutaneous lesion such as lipoma, fibroma or atheroma.

And if there are no skin changes such as redness, pus discharge or pain and fever then you should not be worried since it can be easily surgically removed under local anesthesia. Then it there are doubts it can be sent to the patohistologic analysis.
