2 years ago July I had a bilateral mastectomy with all lymph nodes removed from the right arm pit. I was lucky and was 0/28 and stage 1. No cancer in the left but because of the BRCA 2 gene we elected to have the left removed as well. 33 years old at the time. I noticed a green bruise underneath the right arm about halfway between the armpit and the elbow. I touched it and there was a lump. A small, very hard bump. What could this be? I had a CT scan of the breast, pelvis and stomach areas about 5 months after surgery that found zero hot spots - no evidence there was cancer anywhere in my body. Thank you!
hi. I have read your question and understand that you had an early stage breast carcinoma which was timely removed.
at present the lesions you are mentioning is a hard bump. am sorry to say but it can be sign of recurrances of malignancy. I say so because skin metastasis are typically very hard usually painless nodules which you say your lesion is.
your last CT was done 1.5 years ago which showed no hot spots. but recurrances can develop anytime later.
so I suggest you see your oncologist as soon as possible and get your bump examined.
hope this answer was helpful. for any further questions please get back to us. thanks.
