Suggest Treatment For A Half-egg Sized Lump On The Foot

I recently tripped over a baby gate and hit the top of my foot really hard. I had terrible bruising over the top of my foot and up into my toes. I also had swelling on the top of my foot that looked like half of an egg. I iced the foot to bring down the swelling. I still have a lump under the skin and I keep having the sensation of an electrical charge radiating through my foot. What should I do?

Hello

Thanks for asking a question at HCM

It is pleasure to help you at this moment

You need to get an x ray done firstly to see if you have any fracture.

If it is a hematoma, it will be drained and you will be given a course of antibiotics.

For anything consult a Ortho doctor now. A surgeon can also be of help.

Take a pain killer like Ibuprofen for 2 to 3 days that can reduce pain and inflammation.

Hope this helps!

Best Regards
