Suggest Treatment For A Hard Lump Behind The Head

I have a hard bump on the back left side of my head about .5 inches in diameter and regular shaped ( circular) it has been there as long as I can remember. I think is is an occipital lymph node, but it has been hard for as long as I can remember. I am healthy and display no other symptoms. I am wondering what this bump could possibly be. I fear lymphoma as I have read hard, painless lymph nodes can be a symptom.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.

It isnt usual location of lymphoma and you should do ultrasound and needle biopsy if necessary. In most cases this is lipoma, lymph node or ateroma so it can be surgically removed under local anesthesia, you should just consult surgeon.

I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
