Suggest Treatment For A Hard Painless Lump On The Head
I have a hard painless lump about the size of a quarter in diameter and fixed to my skull. It s at the back of my head, on the right side about an inch higher than the top of my ear. I have had it for about two weeks and have not noticed any changes to it. I don t recall hitting my head, there s no color changes and my hair is still in place. Thank you, Sarah
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have hard painless lump on the head. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like urticaria , clogged sebaceous gland , cyst , osteoma or lipoma. I would suggest you to apply warm compresses on it gently , take over the counter anti histamine like benadryl , do not squeeze it and do not massage it . Consult general practitioner for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , ultrasound , take sample for lab test and check tenderness and consistency . Doctor may remove it surgically , prescribe anti inflammatory , antibiotics and may perform liposuction in case of lipoma .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
