Suggest Treatment For A Large Bump On The Pelvic Area

I need your help. I m thinking about going to the hospital but first I need some help. I have a large bump in the pelvic area halfway between the v where my leg meets. It s not fluid filled or an infected hair. It is VERY tender to the touch and it hurts it to walk. It started small but has grown larger over time. It is a hard bump and it hurts really bad

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I agree that it would be best to be seen so that the lesion can be assessed. The fact that it is very painful to suggest that there may be an infection present that should respond to the use of antibiotics.

Anti-inflammatory pain medication would also be helpful as well eg Ibuprofen, naproxen, Cataflam, etc.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
