Suggest Treatment For A Large Painful Red Bump On Buttocks
About a year ago I developed a large red bump on my bum. It was extremely painful. I went to the doctor and was told it was a boil and I would need to do hot presses until it was cleared out. I followed these directions to a tee. I had never had any issues of spots or bumps on my private area before then but now a year later, it seems little bumps are consistently popping up. They don t have a head and mostly occur around the crack region. I sit for 6 hours a day but immediately shower and exfoliate when I get home. I am sure this isn t an STD as I ve been tested and I m in the clear. It s embarassing and with summer coming into full swing, I would rather not be worrying about something like this!
Your symptoms are suggestive of a chronic infection. Sitting for a long time, lack of regular physical activity are other factors that contribute in all this clinical situation. Coming to this point, I would recommend consulting with a dermatologist for a physical exam. You may need topical antibioticointments or oral antibiotics. Regular physical exercise can help too.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
