Suggest Treatment For A Lump In The Groin Area

i HAVE A SMALL LUMP IN MY GROIN AREA, IT LOOKS LIKE A BRUISE, DOES NOT HURT & i HAVE NO OTHER SYMTOMS. I SAW MY NURSE PRACTITIONER 2 DAYS AGO, SHE SAID IT WAS AN INGROWN HAIR. IT WILL BLEED BRIGHT RED BLOOD IF I PRESS ON IT, BUT JUST A WHILE AGO I BARELY TOUCHED IT AND IT STARTED BLEEDING, IT DID FEEL SWELLED UP TODAY. I HAVE HAD IT ABOUT 4 WEEKS NOW.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

As you do not have pain at that lump site. So it would not be a ingrown hair. I think it may be lymphadenopathy. Do you have history of injury to leg? Kindly follow up with detailed history.

Kindly consult with surgeon for detailed examination. Treatment mainly depends upon the underlying condition.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
