Suggest Treatment For A Lump On The Palm

I have developed a small, little ball under the skin on my right hand, it is mobile but not really sore, probably a little irritated from me constantly moving it around. I can see it clearly when I look at my hand but just the shape, no other changes. Should I be concerned?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Usually, such lumps are not worrisome and harmful. They are considered as a lipoma (mass of fatty tissue).

To put your mind at peace, should consult with an orthopedic specialist to rule out problems with ligaments and soft tissue nearby.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
