Suggest Treatment For A Minor Head Injury

hi I hit my temple of the side of the car pretty hard I have a black eye and got a headache as soon as it happened I had some pain killers and was fine will I be ok it s now been 24 hours since I banged it but u have had no symtoms do I need to go and see a doctor

I am Dr. Deepak, I work in Emergency Department. It seem that you have hit your head very badly to the side of car and got a black eye because of it. you took some pain killers and you felt okay after some time.
I come across many of my patient with head injury in my practice. It seem you had sustained a minor head injury as you told already. Your black might take 10-15 days before it goes of completely. Apart from that you should be okay, and you can carry on with your days plan.
Please keep in mind few thing if you start having vomiting, blurring of vision (not able see), of weakness or numbness on one side of both, or a head ache which is persisting even after taking medication. Then it will be really good for you if you can see a Doctor ASAP.
