Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Please I missed my period last year September and I was bleeding then I went for scan it it showed a non gravid uterus with cyesis, moderate uterine fibroid and moderate fluid in the cut de sac, what do you advise I would do as I was asked to come for flushing of the womb. Advise please
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I have read your description and understand your concern. The reason for your bleeding could be due to reactive endometrium as a result of presence of uterine lesions, particularly uterine fibroid. You can get a dilatation and curettage (D & C) or Flushing of womb procedure done. Follow-up after the procedure would be necessary. In case the periods normalizes, then that would solve the problem. If irregular or continuous bleeding continues, then you need to plan for removal of fibroids or uterus to find a permanent solution to it. Kindly consult Gynecologist for appropriate evaluation and management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
