Suggest Treatment For A Painful Cyst In The Skull And Sudden Fatigue
My wife has a MRI that shows cyst at the base of her skull the Dr. Says it is probably nothing yet she has pain there when she looks down or that area is touched or pushed on.They say it probably filled with cerebalspinal fluid . Her symptoms are pain , tingling in the fingers , she all of a sudden get fatigued and nauseated and last for a short while .
Though detailed evaluation of MRI plates are best needed at this point of time to discuss with you, I can quote that symptoms are of significant contributory finding with brain cyst pathology. The cause is nerve or other brain structures compression via cyst fluid pressure which is containing possible cerebro-spinal fluid as mentioned above. The management depends upon the clinical examination and co relation, however best stereo-tactic surgeries are available to aspirate the cyst, fulgeration, cauterization or excision (in highly selected cases).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
