I have a painful knot in my calf that is palpable when I flex it. I was worried about a blood clot, so I went to the ER where they did an ultrasound. It was clear. It really hurts when I walk. It s been 2 weeks since the sudden onset (precipitated by a day or two of pins and needles tingling in the same area).
hi It could be due to inflamed soft tissue causing fibrosis in deep fascia and formed a knotty adhesion of cutaneous nerves causing pain.Just do hot fomentation and take advil .apply thromophob gel or voltaren gel-rub it over for 5-10 minutes twice a day till it dries on skin. Best wishes,
