Suggest Treatment For A Painful Lump On The Armpit
Hi I noticed a lumpy under my right armpit inside the skin , it feels painless and even when touched does not pain..It feels small and not soft ... It feels fixed in one place and if I pinch it to move it does not. I discovered this last night. I m 30 male and have no previous history regarding this... my family also never had cancer.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of painful lump on the armpit which seems to be due to swelling lymph nodes , formation of cyst due to infection , bacterial or viral infection and due to some underlying disease (herpes ). I would suggest you to consult your doctor again for proper examination . Doctor may order blood test , chest X-ray or biopsy (to check for cancerous lesion).He/she may prescribe stronger antibiotics for more duration , may consider surgical excision or radiation therapy. For now give warm compresses several times a day and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen to reduce pain and inflammation.
Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
