Suggest Treatment For A Painful Lump On The Neck

Hello, I have just had a neck ultrasound - for a largish lump and Fnab - result is 5 cm thyroid nodule I was refered to a surgeon who specialises in cancer surgery. If the fnab is non cancerous - is the best option to sit on it and observe ?? Thanks Gabrielle

You should visit your surgeon for proper assessment. Non cancerous nodule , if appear cold on thyroid scan , needs surgical removal.
