Suggest Treatment For A Painless Solar Plexus Hard Lump

I have a hard but painless lump right below the solarplexus. (Forgive the bad spelling). I sleep about 12 hours a day without an alarm. I smoke close to a pack of cigarettes a day, and eat beef every day. I am 36, weigh 150lbs and stand at 66 inches tall. I also gad a +1 blood in urine. I am male. What does that lump mean. Anything catastrophic? The lump feels about the size of a large marble.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

A hard painless mass in epigastrium can arise from stomach, pancreas or kidney. An MRI of the region would define the origin and type of the mass. It should be done after examination by a gastroenterologist to exclude serious conditions. Please do not massage or foment the region.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
