Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I have a pimple on my upper lip that has been there for months and wont go away. I don't think it's an actual pimple, just a little fluid filled bump. I have tried squeezing it to no avail...my GP told me to put antiseptic cream on it but this didn't help.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of pimple on the upper lip which seems to be due to herpesvirus infection leading to formation of cold sore and it could be due to inflamed sebaceous gland and excessive exposure to sunlight.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to keep area clean and apply ice for 10-15 minutes three times a day. Avoid using cosmetics. Take proper course of antibiotics along with antibiotic ointment. Visit dermatologist once and get complete examination done and start treatment accordingly. Drink plenty of fluids and apply petroleum jelly on it.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
