Suggest Treatment For A Recurrent Inflamed Hemorrhoid
I had an anal abscess earlier this year that apparently came from an enflamed hemorrhoid, all on the outside of my anus. I had to get it shot up with lidocaine and the doctor took a blade to it; it slowly went away after that. Two months later it has started to come back, I can feel the pressure and I can see it. It doesn t have a head or any pus that I can see, and it s no bigger than the size of a dime it s a little smaller in fact. Since I ve caught this early, can I take an antibiotic to help cause it to go away?? I have leftover doxycycline, and I m already on 100 mg of nitrofurantoin twice a day for a UTI. I also have cefuroxime. I want to avoid going back to the ER because of this abscess!
As you explain the situation I strongly recommend you to talk with the doctor surgeon who has treated you.Its not goood to start antibiotics without the doctor recommendations
Regards
Dr Jolanda
