Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m 51 years old ,I ve been tested 6 months ago for all sttds. It came back negative for all. I ve been seeing the same woman for a year . Now I gust got a red patch on my foreskin ( I ve been cut) about 3/8 round ish. It doesn t hurt, but it looks like a rash? It looks like it s going away. What should I do. I m embarrassed to tell her, but common since tells me it s nothing to worry about.
Since you have been tested negative for all STD tests & have been seeing the same woman, you need not worry. It could be tinea cruris( fungal infection).
You can take a course of antifungal (fluconazole) & apply anti-fungal ointment in the area affected.
Wear cotton clothes. Take care of your hygiene, wash your groin clean & dry after exercise or sweating. Wear undergarments that does not trap heat.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
