Suggest Treatment For A Red Spot On The Leg

I have a red spot on my leg about the size of a quarter that isn t healing. The texture of it is different from the nornal skin around it. It looks kinda shiny. I have tried first aid cream and covering it with a bandage but it does not cchange or heal. No pus....not a blister....was very itchy for a while but now not.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you may need to visit a dermatologist. The red spot may be caused by yeast infection more than by a bacterial infection that's why it is a red spot and doesn't have pus and also isn't healing with antibacterial creams. You may need to take anti fungal cream.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
