Suggest Treatment For A Red Swollen Bump With White Pus

My 3 yr old has a bump that has white pus and red swollen area around it, I tried draining it last night, but it looks even bigger today, he complains about it but then starts jumping around, temp on one ear was 101 and other was 99.8, good idea to take him to clinic in the morning?

Hello,

It sounds like he has a small abscess. It would be a good idea to take him to the clinic so he can be started on a course of antibiotics. Please give him medicines as your pediatrician has advised to keep his fever at bay.
