Suggest Treatment For A Slightly Swollen Lacrimal Caruncle
I have a slightly swollen lacrimal caruncle, slightly red in the inner corner of the eye, and feel like I need to rub that area/slightly itchy a few times in the day. I tried allergy relief: Zaditor drips and Cetirizine 1 tablet per day for last 7 days. Slightly reduced the reddish color, but caruncle still swollen. At night when I read in bed, eyes feel slightly tired and hurt very slightly. In the morning, very slight discharge at inner corner of eye. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
I think the lacrimal sack and canal are infected since they hurt are red and swollen. I think you can take antibiotic and corticosteroid drops like tobradex to find infection and inflammation. Using antihistamines also may be helpful.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
