Suggest Treatment For A Slightly Swollen Lacrimal Caruncle
I have a slightly swollen lacrimal caruncle, slightly red in the inner corner of the eye, and feel like I need to rub that area/slightly itchy a few times in the day. I tried allergy relief: Zaditor drips and Cetirizine 1 tablet per day for last 7 days. Slightly reduced the reddish color, but caruncle still swollen. At night when I read in bed, eyes feel slightly tired and hurt very slightly. In the morning, very slight discharge at inner corner of eye. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hello,
I think the lacrimal sack and canal are infected since they hurt are red and swollen. I think you can take antibiotic and corticosteroid drops like tobradex to find infection and inflammation.
Using antihistamines also may be helpful.
