Suggest Treatment For A Small Painful Bump On The Scrotum
Thank u for you re time, I m 45 n a male.I found in my scrotum inside area a small seed type, not on the balls but above it kind a in the tubing that runs thru ur scrotum.it was a seed size and has since gotten smaller, but I m getting pain on my left side butox.I m not sure what to do at this point. Thank you again for you re time...
Your history suggests that you have acute epididymitis. If that happens first time within last 3 months, please see your doctor asap. He would order scrotal ultrasound, urine test, blood test, urethral swabs to exclude causative organism. At the same time to exclude inguinal hernia, testicular torsion which is an emergency.
Other causes are testicular cancer and other pathology a bit rare. Anyway, if it is acute epididymitis, I would prescribe Noroxin 400 mg and Voltaren 50 mg. Most people respond well. Please avoid sex or sustained penile erection for three weeks use a scrotal support. Avoid hot bath. If you do not get better, I would suggest you go to a urologist asap.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Law, General & Family Physician
