Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello Doctor Prasad, I have a small 5mm across farily round very slightly red unicolour , not raised patch on my face. It's a bit dry and slightly scaly. when I scratch it / try to peal the dry skin there are tiny bits blood (it's not bleeding as such, just very tiny dots).
Thanks for your query. The symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards a condition known as contact dermatitis. There are certain things which can irritate your skin and cause allergy and scaly patches like perfumes ,dyes and extreme weather .
I would suggest you to :-
- Wash your face several times a day with normal fresh water.
- Avoid applying any makeup or cosmetic.
- Take over the counter antihistamine drugs and anti inflammatory drugs.
If condition doesn't get better in 2-3 days then consult dermatologist for proper examination and rule out other condition like psoriasis. Doctor may prescribe steroid cream or antibiotics.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
