Suggest Treatment For A Sore Sty Developed Below The Eyes
I have developed what appears to be a sty (?) along my lower lash line. Bothersome and a bit sore. please advise on how to get rid of the sty. Do I need antibiotic eyedrops ? Will I need to contact my PCP or an opthomologist fot treatment. Also, I recently started using Restatis (2 weeks ago) might this be a reaction to that product--I have very dry eyes. I have never had a sty problem before. I am 73 years old.

Stye is an infection of eye gland.
Advice
1. Moxifloxacin eye drops - one drop in each eye three time daily
2. Cap Amoxicillin 500 mg per oral three times daily for 5 days
3. Tablet ibuprofen 600 mg per oral when unbearable pain occurs
4. Cold fomentation of involved eye
5. Tear plus eye drop - one drop in each eye for dry eye
6. Investigation - blood sugar (fasting & PP)
7. If further complication occurs, consult an ophthalmologist of your local area
