Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I have a thyroid cyst. It has been there for 3-4 years. I did have a biopsy 2 years ago and it was benign. I am losing insurance benefits, and starting to wonder if I should have had it removed. I don t have a doctor currently, so I m not sure exactly what the best route to take is. Do I go to a GP or endoctrinist?

Suggest Treatment For A Thyroid Cyst
Hello, Thyroid cyst are usually benign. Most go away on their own. In some cases, the doctor may shrink a thyroid cyst by : -removing fluid from it with a needle, -recommend surgery to remove the nodule, or -prescribe medicine. You should consult an endocrinologist for the correct method of treatment. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
