Suggest Treatment For A White Spot On The Throat

I have a white spot at the back of my throat which I have had going on 4 weeks now. I have no fever. No pain. I do cough some and swallow wrong more than I used to. Should I see a doctor or is it something that I don t need to worry about. Thank you!

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that the white spot may be due to post nasal drip. This is one of the more common causes of persistent coughing and some persons may not be aware that the drip is present.

You can try treating the drip to see if the spot resolves though if you are anxious, you can see your doctor for assessment.

Treatment includes topical steroid nasal spray and oral antihistamines.

I hope this helps
