Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Discomfort And Heartburn
I was prescribed doxycycline last week. I took 7 pills, 3 1/2 days, and stopped becasue I was having discomfort like bad heartburn. After researching it, I discovered I should have been told to drink a full glass of water and not lay down for a while after taking the pills. I stopped taking them 4 days ago. Still the discomfort persists. I went back to the clinic and the doctor gave me a prescriotion for oral cefdinir. Then she said if I think the pill is still stuck go to the ER. How should I know if the pill is stuck?
You would have difficulty swallowing if an object was lodged in your esophagus.
The fact that you are able to eat and drink make this unlikely. In addition the food and drink would also serve to push down any objects that may be present.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
