Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Gas And Rectal Bleeding
Yesterday morning I had severe gas pain when I was trying to move my bowel. after 2 hours I passed 4 round stools. After that I have had red blood coming out my rectom and have been unable to contract my doctor. Will this heal on its own? what have I torn?
You need to avoid constipation by using Isupgul, Metamucil and keeping well hydrated. If the bleeding is severe, you need to contact your doctor or visit the ER at the earliest. Mild bleeding will stop on own. You will need to take sitz bath 2-3 times daily, take capsule Docusate, a stool softener and plenty of natural fiber in fruits and veggies will help. You may need some antibiotics if an infection is suspected.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vakul Aren, General & Family Physician
