Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Pain And Bloody Diarrhea
My husband is experiencing abdominal pain, diarrhea and bloody movements. Second movement was mostly blood. Has experienced this before and had colonoscopy and they found nothing. He had his last colonoscopy last year. I want him to go to the er but he says it s probably the same as before.
Every time there is blood with the stools it is good to have a good evaluation and rule out important issues of the bowel. Different causes can be identified from infection to diverticulosis and bowel mass. He will need a stool culture and microscopy and maybe the doctor will decide to repeat the colonoscopy. It is safer to have the proper examinations and try to find the cause of the bleeding then thing it will be similar as last time and risk missing important conditions and having the right treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General & Family Physician
