General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Following work up should be done:
-Stool routine micro examination
-Widal test for typhoid

If any specific cause found, then treat it accordingly. If typhoid is positive, then Cefixime drug can be prescribed, and if stool routine micro shows bacteria and pus cells, then an antibiotic course is prescribed.

Drink lots of water to maintain hydration and avoid excess spicy foods. Take Oral rehydration solution (ORS) with water frequently and a semisolid diet more. Consult the physician for examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
