Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Pain While Carrying Heavy Objects

My mom is suffering from abdominal pain often, sometimes the pain could be brought or worsen when she would carry heavy objects. The feeling would go together with the need to defecate. But oftentimes she finds it hard to defecate? Why do you think is she feeling this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and thanks for writing.

I can understand your concern and would try to help you in the best possible way. These complaints are suggestive of a hernia. I suggest you consult a surgeon for a complete physical examination to rule out hernia.

Treatment of hernia is quite simple and involves surgical repair in advanced cases. However ignoring hernia may lead to complications like strangulation and obstuction which may be an emergency.
