Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Pain While Having Low Functioning Gallbladder
My daughter is 15 and waiting for gallbladder surgery. Her gallbladder is functioning at 11%. The pain has spread to her chest and back. She is doing pretty well adhering to the low fat diet. She is in significant pain with any movement, particularly car rides. She doesn t have a fever. She is not schedule for surgery for a few weeks. At what point is this considered an emergency?
If pain persist or in case of fever or features of cholecystitis, emergency surgery must be considered. Consult a gastro surgeon and he will direct you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
