Hi there I had an operation last year to remove my bowel from my womb as they were both attached and caused excruciating pain. I ve now got a 4 month child and the pain has come back. Can having children push my bowel and womb to stick together again do you know as I m having the same pain as what I got last year??

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
The repeat bowel attachments after normal delivery is not possible. The pain can be due to bowel infection. Needs to be confirmed by physical, pathological exam. Consult a physician and your surgeon. Possibility remains in case of cesarean delivery. It needs to be confirmed by a CT scan.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
