Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi i feel pain at my upper right stomach and also slightly feel pain in all over part of my stomach and feel pain also in my chest.. When i have a ultrasound in my abdomin i dont understand the result it stated consider gallbladder polyp v encrusted stone. What does it mean?
The ultrasound examination has noticed a structure in the gall bladder which the examiner is not sure if it is a polyp (a usual benign mass attached in the walls of the gall bladder) or a gall bladder stone that is stuck there and not moving.
Maybe repeating the ultrasound at a different time will help differentiate especially if you are fasting at least 8 hours before the ultrasound and drink plenty of water.
I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General and Family Physician
