Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Spasms After A Fall In An Elderly Person
My 91 year old mother in law fell this afternoon and nothing appears to be hurt or broken. She called and wanted a walker so we took her one. Checked her verbal, cognitive and physical abilities and all appeared normal. Spoke by phone with her 2 hours later and all was okay but she had spilled her soup which is unusual. An hour later she was having abdominal spasms on left side. Not sure she isn t dehydrated. She is old nurse and doesn t think this needs trip to ER....just wants to lay down and relax. Encouraging her to see dr tomorrow but not sure if we should take her to ER. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS PLEASE. on one by med

I really appreciate your concern, if this is the head injury then it need to be kept under observation, even if this is not the obvious head injury still it needs medical attention at least CT brain need to be done for safe side, hope this information helps.
