Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I have read your description and understand your concern. Abdominal tumour needs to be removed surgically by means of operation, otherwise it may grow gradually over time and cause complications by compressing on vital structures. However, before it is operated, the tumour work-up needs to be done by means of following investigations. 1. Ultrasound scan of abdomen to locate the tumour. 2. CT scan and PET scan to know the extent of tumour and spread of the tumour, if any to the other parts of the body. Based on the tumour type and staging, surgical removal of it needs to be planned and operated. Depending on the nature of tumour, the patient might require adjuvant therapy in the form of chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy. Kindly consult Medical and Surgical Oncologist for proper evaluation and management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
